Instructions on loading custom POI files to your garmin unit

<strong>Instructions</strong> on loading custom POI (Point of Interest) files to your Garmin
unit (May 2009)
This tutorial will instruct you on how to transfer Garmin POI files from your PC or
laptop onto your Garmin nüvi.
NOTE: Before you start you must make sure that you have downloaded the
Garmin POI files onto your PC or Laptop hard drive.
Now follow these steps to transfer the POI files onto your Garmin nüvi.
1. Connect your unit to your PC via USB cable.
2. Once connected click Start then click My Computer.
3. Open Garmin nüvi drive ( see below )
4. Open the Garmin folder

5. Right click and select New then click on Folder to create a new folder.
6. Once your new folder is created name it POI , then press enter

7. Open the POI folder, then locate all your saved POI files. Right click and
copy all of the files. Go back into the POI folder and paste the POI files.
8. The POI files are now active on your Garmin nüvi.
