but fuch an attack could have induced <strong>the</strong>m to<br />

form <strong>the</strong>mfelves into one monarchy. And<br />

<strong>the</strong>y firft formed <strong>the</strong>mfelves at that peri-<br />

in <strong>the</strong> fpring <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> year 83, <strong>the</strong> Caledonians<br />

were not yet aiTociated toge<strong>the</strong>r. Agricola only<br />

apprehended that <strong>the</strong>y would fpeedily unite,<br />

as <strong>the</strong> danger became more imminent to all. And<br />

in this and <strong>the</strong> year following <strong>the</strong>y actually com-<br />
