Policy Terms & Conditions<br />
This Policy is issued in accordance with the Cooperative Insurance Companies Supervision Law<br />
promulgated by Royal Decree No. M/32 dated 02/06/1424H and its Implementing Regulations<br />
issued under Ministerial Resolution No. 1/596 dated 01/03/1425H in this respect.<br />
In accordance with its Articles of Association as a Cooperative Insurance Company, SANAD<br />
Cooperative Insurance & Reinsurance Company (hereinafter called "the Company") will<br />
distribute to the Policy holders, as required by Article No. 70 (2-e) of the implementing<br />
Regulations, at least 10% (Ten Percent) of the net annual surplus, if any, arising from its<br />
insurance operations either in cash or in the form of a reduction in premium (contribution) for the<br />
subsequent year.<br />
The Insured having applied to the Company for the Insurance expressed herein and made a<br />
Proposal and Declaration which shall be the basis of this contract and is deemed to be<br />
incorporated herein and having paid or agreed to pay the Premium as consideration for the<br />
insurance;<br />
The Company will, subject to the terms exceptions and conditions contained herein, insure in the<br />
manner and to the extent hereinafter provided.<br />
GENERAL DEFINITIONS<br />
Wherever the following words or phrases appear in the policy wording they will always have the<br />
meanings shown under them:<br />
Business associate Any person who works at your place of business and who, if you were both<br />
away from work at the same time, would prevent the business from running properly.<br />
Child/children A child of the policyholder or the policyholder’s partner who is under 18 years of<br />
age at the date of buying this policy and is either in full time education or living with them.<br />
Home Your usual place of residence within Saudi Arabia.<br />
Manual labour Work involving physical labour, for example, but not limited to, construction,<br />
installation and assembly. This does not include bar and restaurant staff, music and singing, or<br />
fruit picking (not involving machinery).<br />
Pair or set of items A number of items associated as being similar or complementary or used<br />
together.<br />
Partner A legally married spouse.<br />
Policy schedule The document showing the names and other details of all the people insured<br />
under this policy and any special conditions that apply.<br />
Pre-existing Condition: a condition for which care, treatment, or advice was recommended by or<br />
received from a Physician or which was first manifested or contracted within a period upto 2 years<br />
preceding the Insured Person’s Effective Date of Coverage,<br />
Relative Your partner and your or your partner’s parent, brother, sister, son, daughter,<br />
grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchild, stepbrother, stepsister or next of kin.<br />
Valuables Photographic, audio, video and electrical equipment (including cds, dvds, video and<br />
audio tapes and electronic games), MP3 players, computer equipment, binoculars, antiques,<br />
jewellery, watches, furs, silks, precious stones and articles made of or containing gold, silver or<br />
precious metals.
