However, the involvement of Longines is not limited to<br />

providing technical equipment, but includes a close relationship<br />

to the players. And who would be a better ambassador<br />

than one of the most successful tennis players of all<br />

time? Andre Agassi has been the face of Longines on sand<br />

courts around the world. With assistance from Longines<br />

he promotes the sport of tennis and raises funds for his<br />

charitable organization, the Andre Agassi Foundation for<br />

Education.<br />

Agassi’s wife, the renowned German tennis player<br />

Stefanie Graf, is also a Longines ambassador. She heads a<br />

charitable organization, Children for Tomorrow, with<br />

the goal of supporting and initiating projects that provide<br />

assistance to children and families who have be-<br />

come victims of war, persecution, exile and violence.<br />

For the annual Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament<br />

Longines invites children under the age of 13 to the<br />

Roland-Garros stadium to compete. Winners proceed<br />

to an exhibition match against two legendary ex-professional<br />

players.<br />

Slightly older is the group of gied players supported<br />

by the Longines Rising Tennis Stars program. Since the<br />

French Open in Spring 2011, the sponsoring program<br />

has beneted 17- to 23-year-old players from the entire<br />

world. It’s one way Longines ensures that future talent<br />

does not remain undiscovered due to nancial hardship<br />

or from lack of support.<br />
