Kate Winslet is known as one of the most versatile actors<br />
today. Her extraordinary range allows her to embody<br />
very dierent characters, whether in front of the camera<br />
or on stage. At the age of 11 this talented British actor<br />
had already begun appearing in a number of television<br />
programs and in 1994, she made her movie debut in<br />
“Heavenly Creatures.” ree years later, she starred in<br />
the blockbuster movie “Titanic.” Despite her enormous<br />
success, she continues to accept roles in smaller lm<br />
projects. She counts several prestigious movie awards<br />
among her achievements. She is the youngest actress<br />
ever to have received six Oscar nominations. In 2009,<br />
she won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in<br />
“e Reader.” She earned her third Golden Globe award<br />
in 2012 for her performance in the TV mini-series<br />
“Mildred Pierce.” e same year she received a César<br />
d’honneur congratulating her on her entire career. In<br />
2012, she has as well been honored by Queen Elizabeth<br />
II and named “Commander of the Order of the British<br />
Empire.” In addition to being such a talented actress,<br />
Kate Winslet is the mother of two. She also spends her<br />
time and energy on the foundation she has set up: the<br />
Golden Hat Foundation. Its aim is to eliminate barriers<br />
for people with autism around the world and to help<br />
them by giving them a suitable education.<br />
