7.5 Conclusions on demand modelling<br />
The demand modelling predicts levels of patronage at <strong>Rowville</strong> rail line stations that are<br />
broadly comparable with those on other, existing rail lines. However we consider that it could<br />
underestimate the possible mode shift from car. It also gives quite large estimates of access<br />
to train stations by car.<br />
Further work to enhance and improve the demand forecasting model would be advisable to<br />
explore these issues in more detail.<br />
