EUROINVENT <strong>2011</strong><br />

acid). The method implies two stages: the grafting of<br />

monochlorotriazinyl-β-cyclodextrin on the cellulose<br />

support – by means of a pad-dry-cure technique -, and the<br />

inclusion of the antimicrobial agents - by impregnation in<br />

solution. This finishing is antimicrobial effective against<br />

different microbial strains (Escherichia coli,<br />

Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa,<br />

Candida albicans) and washproof. At industrial scale, it<br />

has as potential application the finishing of fabrics<br />

destined to summer clothes, clothes for sport and indoor<br />

activities, as well as to clothes used in special medical<br />

conditions (persons presenting photosensitivity and skin<br />

diseases).<br />

The main elements of this system are two inductive sensors<br />

included in a sinusoidal oscillator. By changing their inductance,<br />

proximity or farther away from a ferromagnetic material, change<br />

diametrically opposite against the component which is under<br />

rotation moving. Position deviations thus determined are<br />

displayed digitally, and by proper calibration there are obtained<br />
