Award-w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
<strong>Lamy</strong> has won more national and <strong>in</strong>ternational design<br />
awards than any other manufacturer of writ<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>struments.<br />
For <strong>in</strong>stance, the first European <strong>Design</strong> Prize, which was<br />
presented to the <strong>com</strong>pany <strong>in</strong> 1988 by the EU. Or, as an<br />
alternative, the German ‘design oscar’ the <strong>Design</strong> Prize<br />
of the Federal Republic of <strong>Germany</strong> which, follow<strong>in</strong>g the<br />
LAMY spirit and the LAMY pico, was also awarded for the<br />
LAMY noto <strong>in</strong> February of this year.<br />
For <strong>Lamy</strong> customers, awards such as these perhaps represent<br />
only a particularly nice confirmation that they have<br />
made the right choice of purchase. For the employees of<br />
<strong>Lamy</strong>, however, they are much more than a wel<strong>com</strong>e side<br />
effect. They are a recognition of their work and, above<br />
all, a motivation to cont<strong>in</strong>ue <strong>in</strong> future to produce better and<br />
better writ<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>struments and to make writ<strong>in</strong>g by hand even<br />
more <strong>com</strong>fortable and attractive.
