Status: Scripting is just getting underway and full production is set to begin later on this year, delivering in fall 2013. The<br />
series has been presold to TVNZ (New Zealand), ABC TV (Australia), Knowledge Network (Canada) and BBC Canada so far.<br />
Jerry and the Raiders Jerry is a curious seven-year-old whose life gets<br />
turned upside down when his two action fi gures, The Galactic Raiders, magically come to life.<br />
Convinced that every ordinary “situation” is a mysterious threat, their sworn mission is to<br />
uncover these unknown elements of everyday life and take heroic action. For example, they<br />
think a spider web is trying to entrap them and that holes in lettuce leaves, caused by slugs,<br />
are the work of evil aliens. Jerry’s life spins out of control in a series of comical reconnaissance<br />
adventures in this co-pro, which also includes plans for an online experience and apps that<br />
feature elements of augmented reality.<br />

Budget: Ball-parked at roughly US$280,000 per half hour<br />
Status: The series is currently in production, and delivery to Canadian<br />
pubcasters TVO (Ontario) and SRC (Quebec) should begin by year’s end.<br />
CCI is overseeing production, fi nancing and distribution, as well as English<br />
voice recording in Toronto. The rest of the animation production is taking<br />
place at Fake Studios, with First Star handling story editing.<br />

Wiki the Kiwi This sweet<br />
comedy series focuses on the relationship<br />
and slapstick antics of best friends with big<br />
differences—Wiki, a kiwi bird who can’t<br />
fl y, and Brian the Bat, who isn’t a bird, but<br />
can soar. Wiki has an inventive nature and<br />
lives with his family under a pine tree, while<br />
Brian has a hard time fl ying in a straight<br />
line. The nocturnal duo comes out to play<br />
and have adventures when the sun sets and<br />
everything goes a bit topsy turvy.
