Why Water/Methanol Injection?<br />
Water/methanol injection provides “chemical<br />
intercooling”. This system suppresses detonation<br />
so more timing can be added. Water, with its<br />
high latent heat of vaporization cools the intake<br />
charge & combustion. Methanol cools the charge<br />
& combustion but also acts like an extremely high<br />
octane fuel as well as adding more oxygen.<br />
