<strong>Copley</strong> Amplifier Parameter Dictionary Amplifier Variables<br />

1 S-curve profile mo<strong>de</strong>. Uses position/distance, velocity, acceleration, and jerk. None<br />

of these <strong>parameter</strong>s may be changed while a move is in progress (although the<br />

move may be aborted). The acceleration <strong>parameter</strong> will be used for <strong>de</strong>celeration.<br />

2 Velocity mo<strong>de</strong>. Uses velocity, acceleration, and <strong>de</strong>celeration. Jerk is not used in this<br />

mo<strong>de</strong>, and position is only used to <strong>de</strong>fine the direction of move (zero or positive to<br />

move with a positive velocity, negative to move with a negative velocity). Any<br />

<strong>parameter</strong> may be changed during the move. Set velocity to zero to stop.<br />

3 PVT profile mo<strong>de</strong>. Use of this mo<strong>de</strong> through the serial interface is not presently<br />

supported.<br />

8 If set, this is a relative move. If clear, this is an absolute move.<br />

Valid settings for this <strong>parameter</strong>:<br />

0 Absolute move, trapezoidal profile.<br />

1 Absolute move, S-curve profile.<br />

256 Relative move, trapezoidal profile.<br />

257 Relative move, S-curve profile.<br />

2 Velocity profile.<br />

0xC9 0xCA 0x4C9 0x2252 R* U16 Trajectory Status Register. This <strong>parameter</strong> gives status information about the<br />

trajectory generator. It is bit-mapped as follows:<br />

0-8,10 Reserved for future use.<br />

9 Cam table un<strong>de</strong>rflow.<br />

11 Homing error. If set, an error occurred in the last home attempt. Cleared by a home<br />

command.<br />

12 Referenced. Set when a homing command has been successfully executed. Cleared by a<br />

home command.<br />

13 Homing. If set, the <strong>amplifier</strong> is running a home command.<br />

14 Set when a move is aborted. Cleared at the start of the next move.<br />

15 In-Motion Bit. If set, the trajectory generator is presently generating a profile.<br />
