Glossary<br />

Acceptance band A range of acceptable values of a coin type defined<br />

by an upper and lower value and with specific →<br />

coin properties.<br />

Acceptance gate The acceptance gate diverts the inserted coins into<br />

the acceptance or rejection area.<br />

Acceptance limit There is an upper and lower limiting value. They<br />

define the → acceptance band.<br />

Addable value Product price minus the maximum number of →<br />

critical coins inserted for one sales process.<br />

Backup data Using the menu item ”Restore”, backup data can<br />

be called up which can be used to reset the coin<br />

validator settings as required.<br />

Block The coin validator G-18.mft can manage two<br />

individual configurations for coin measurements<br />

using so-called blocks. Each of these blocks have<br />

12 individual coin channels assigned to them with<br />

the appropriate → tables.<br />

Channel → Coin channel<br />

Coin acceptance band → Acceptance band<br />

Coin acceptance limit → Acceptance limit<br />

Coin channel Coin channels are used to describe → coin types<br />

using their different → coin properties (alloy, size,<br />

etc.). The coin properties of a type of coin required<br />

are defined in → acceptance bands which in turn<br />

are collected together as a coin channel.<br />

Coin properties Coin features which are measured when a coin is<br />

inserted into the coin validator. These are material,<br />

thickness, volume, minting, diameter, mass,<br />

hardness etc.<br />

Coin signal line Electrical coin signal lines transmit the values of a<br />

→ coin type to the vending machine.<br />
