Perform tests<br />
Two basic requirements for the functionality of the coin validator are intact<br />
coin signal lines between the vending machine (tester) and the coin<br />
validator as well as a perfectly functioning acceptance gate and sorting<br />
gate(s). <strong>WinEMP</strong> enables you to test these device parts.<br />
Test coin signal lines<br />
To test the coin signal lines between the vending machine (tester) and the<br />
coin validator, select the menu item LINE TEST in the sub-menu TESTS...<br />
in the diagnostic screen. Whilst the message Please wait is being<br />
displayed the function of the lines is being tested independently. The<br />
LEDs on the tester assigned to the six lines light up briefly. If an LED<br />
does not light up, either the connection between the coin validator and<br />
the vending machine (tester) is defective (cable, plug-in connections) or<br />
the outlet level in the coin validator is defective. In this case, please contact<br />
the service technician.<br />
Test gates<br />
In order to test the acceptance gate and the possibly existing sorting gates<br />
in the coin validator, select the menu item GATE TEST in the sub-menu<br />
TESTS... in the diagnostics screen. Whilst the message Please wait<br />
is being displayed, the function of the acceptance gate and sorting<br />
gates is being tested independently. You can hear the solenoid being<br />
attracted and being released again. If you can’t hear a noise, the<br />
module must be checked.<br />
