WinEMP – G-13.mft GENERAL INFORMATION
1General information
This chapter is intended to provide you with an initial overview regarding the
advantages and options of the PC configuration software WinEMP. The first
section, however, is designed to help you navigate easily within these
operating instructions.
General information about these instructions
Text conventions
These instructions describe the necessary steps that have to be taken to
install the software and the device environment as well as on how to apply
the software to the NRI coin validator G-13.mft with parallel (standard,
Casino, and totalizer model), MDB, S1 or cctalk interface. The index and
glossary shorten the search for specific explanations.
National Rejectors, Inc. GmbH, Buxtehude
Since the various machine interfaces of the coin validator also result
in various device functions, the configuration of these functions is
described in separate sections in Chap. 8 "Configuration". It is
therefore sufficient, if you read the section for the respective
interface.
To make it easier for you to navigate within these instructions, the following
accentuations were made in the text:
Safety instructions that must be observed in order to protect
operators and equipment.
Special notes that are intended to help you use the program.
1 2 3 ... Requests to perform an action are numbered in another typeface.
SCREEN TEXTS are set in small capitals.
MENU ITEMS and BUTTONS are shown in bold capitals.
At the beginning of a chapter you will find a short "guide", which
summarizes the contents of the chapter.
Since older and new G-13.mft coin validators do not possess the
same range of functions, you must not be concerned about the fact
that the screen shots shown in these instructions do not always
correspond to the WinEMP screen displayed on your PC.
