CONFIGURATION – FOR PARALLEL INTERFACE (TOTALIZER) Inhibit coin types 80 WinEMP – G-13.mft 4 Confirm your entry with OK and close the window again or proceed to the next setting in this dialog box first and confirm all your settings later. 5 Click BACK to store the setting in the G-13.mft or proceed to the next setting on this screen and store all your settings later. If specific coins are no longer to be accepted for payment at the vending machine, your coin channels can either be • deactivated on a long-term basis using the coin validator software, • assigned to a DIL switch, which can be used to inhibit the coin channels on a flexible basis on site (only with single block datamanagement). Activate or deactivate coin types using coin validator software If individual coin types are to be inhibited in the long term or if certain coin types have already been configured by the manufacturer but are inhibited because they have so far not been required (number of the coin channel marked with a red bar), you have the option of deactivating or activating the respective coin channels internally using the coin validator software. The coin channels deactivated using the coin validator software cannot be re-enabled on the device or using the vending machine but can only be re-enabled using the configuration software WinEMP. 1 In the line of the respective coin channel under the heading "X", click on the box. A tick is set or deleted (tick = coin type deactivated, no tick = coin type activated, and the channel number is marked in red or is no longer marked). By clicking on the box again, you can cancel the entry. 2 Click BACK to store the setting in the G-13.mft or proceed to the next setting on this screen and store all your settings later. WinEMP – G-13.mft CONFIGURATION – FOR PARALLEL INTERFACE (TOTALIZER) Assign DIL switch to a coin type/coin group (only with single block data-management for inhibiting via DIL switches) If your coin validator data-manages all 32 coin channels in a single switching block and, if you want to be able to inhibit individual coin types or a coin group directly on site using the coin validator with the help of the DIL switches, you must assign the respective coin types to the first eight DIL switches of the upper switching block in WinEMP first: 1 In the line of the respective coin channel under the heading "DIL- INH. 8–1", tick the desired switch by clicking the box and, if necessary, 2 remove the tick set under any other switch by clicking the box. National Rejectors, Inc. GmbH, Buxtehude For inhibiting in groups assign all the relevant coin types (e.g. of a currency) to the same DIL switch. Make the setting easier and use the DIL switch simulation at the top of the screen: If you set a tick for a specific DIL switch for inhibiting in the simulation (here: DlL switch 4), WinEMP shows, for convenience, all the coin channels which have been inhibited via that switch, with a red bar (to the right of the channel number). 3 Click BACK to store the setting in the G-13.mft or proceed to the next setting on this screen and store all your settings later. To inhibit the coin type/coin group all that has to be done is set the appropriate DIL switch to ON (see also separate instructions for the totalizer). 81
