WinEMP – G-13.mft
Glossary
National Rejectors, Inc. GmbH, Buxtehude
GLOSSARY
Acceptance band A range of acceptable measured values of one → coin type
(with specific → coin properties) defined by an upper and
lower limit value. Coins with these acceptable measured
values are accepted by the G-13.mft.
Acceptance gate The acceptance gate diverts the inserted coins into the
acceptance or return area of the G-13.mft. It is thus opened
by attraction of a solenoid and closed again after attraction.
Acceptance limit The upper and lower acceptance limit values define the →
acceptance band.
Accepted coin sensor To ensure that accepted coins actually arrive in the cash-box
or in an external sorting device and acceptance is not
tampered with, accepted coin sensors (2 infrared sensors:
CP3/CP4) check before the cash-box coin outlet whether the
inserted coin drops into the cash-box chute unhindered. Only
when the coin has passed this checking function is the coin
acceptance transmitted to the machine.
Since Casino operation cannot exploit the accepted coin
sensors, these devices can be set using WinEMP in such a
way that an accepted coin signal independent of the coin
signal is sent via the → return signal line to the machine.
Attraction time The attraction time determines how long the solenoid of the
→ acceptance gate is supposed to attract so that the gate will
open and the inserted coins can be directed to the cash-box.
There are three different phases
• pre-magnetization time
The solenoid is fully controlled in order to open the gate.
• actual attraction time
Solenoid control is timed (to conserve energy) in order to
keep the gate open.
• coin acceptance time
Time after closing the acceptance gate which is available
for the accepted coin sensors.
