3 Installation<br />
Install <strong>WinEMP</strong><br />
In this chapter you will find how to<br />
• install <strong>WinEMP</strong>,<br />
• connect the device environment to a PC for configuration and<br />
• start <strong>WinEMP</strong>.<br />

INSTALLATION<br />
The <strong>NRI</strong> configuration and diagnostics program <strong>WinEMP</strong> is supplied on a<br />
CD-ROM. To install the program from the CD-ROM on the hard disk of your<br />
PC, please proceed as follows:<br />
1 Close all open programs on your PC.<br />
2 Open Windows Explorer and use a double-click to start the<br />
installation file "<strong>WinEMP</strong>.exe" in the CD-ROM drive.<br />
3 To install the program, please follow the instructions on the screen.<br />
Select GERMAN, ENGLISH or SPANISH not only as the installation<br />
language but also as the <strong>WinEMP</strong> dialog language.<br />
4 After installing the program successfully, reboot your computer.<br />
The program has been stored on the hard disk of your PC, and the<br />
<strong>WinEMP</strong> icon has been saved on the PC desktop and in the start<br />
menu, so that you can start the program easily.<br />
Before starting the software it is advisable to connect the device environment<br />
first so that the software installed can access the connected coin validator<br />
directly when the main menu is loaded.<br />
