5. Break in Training Warmup Events (SXX86). Nonsyllabus warmup
events compensate for breaks in training. Eligibility is based
on the number of days since the last flight or trainer in the
same stage. All warmups shall be coded as an SXX86, e.g.,
N4286. Warmup grades do not satisfy block or MIF requirements
and shall not be included in the cumulative totals.
a. Warmups Between Stages. Warmup events shall not be
given prior to the first flight in stage unless 30 days have
elapsed since any syllabus flight or trainer event.
b. Warmup Event Criteria. Optional warmup events are based
on the student’s performance. If the student’s performance
meets MIF, the event shall count as the next syllabus event. If
a student’s performance is marginal or unsatisfactory, the
flight is a warmup.
c. Additional Warmup Events. The Operations Officer may
direct additional warmup aircraft or simulator/CPT events for
extended breaks in training.
