1. Course Title. Advanced Multi-Service Navigator Training<br />
System (MNTS) Curriculum.<br />
2. Course ID Number (CIN). Advanced NFO Strike (Q-2D-3396),<br />
Advanced NFO Fighter (Q-2D-4496), and Advanced NFO ATM<br />
(Q-2D-5596).<br />
3. Location. NAS Pensacola.<br />
4. Course Status. Active.<br />
5. Course Mission. The mission of the Advanced NFO program is<br />
to further enhance navigation, communication, and aircraft<br />
systems management skills. Crew coordination and mission<br />
priorities are stressed in this curriculum. Skill and<br />
performance levels required for completion are outlined in the<br />
Course Training Standards (CTSs). Different services and<br />
platforms require completion of different training<br />
blocks/segments. Successful completion of the applicable<br />
curricula qualifies student NFOs as Military Flight Officers.<br />
This requires:<br />
a. Flight training to teach the principles and techniques<br />
used in operating high-performance aircraft.<br />
b. Flight and synthetic training to teach the principles<br />
and techniques used in low-level navigation, radar navigation,<br />
and radar intercept consummation.<br />
c. Ground training to supplement and reinforce flight<br />
training.<br />
6. Prerequisite Training. Successful completion of<br />
Intermediate Jet Multi-Service Navigator Training System<br />
(Q-2D-0157).<br />
7. Security Clearance Requirements. None.<br />
8. Follow-on Training. Assigned by the graduate’s parent<br />
service.
