2 Installation (bei Bestellung mit Montagewinkel)
Der Montagewinkel ist sowohl für die Rohr- als auch für die Wandmontage geeignet (Bild 1).
2.1 Rohrmontage
Bei der Rohrmontage wird zuerst der Montagewinkel mittels der zwei Befestigungsbügel am Rohr montiert.
Anschließend kann die Befestigung des Meßumformers mit den beiliegenden 2 Schrauben erfolgen.
2.2 Wandmontage
Bei der Wandmontage wird der Montagewinkel direkt auf die Rückseite des Meßumformers geschraubt,
bevor die Wandmontage erfolgt. Bei der Wandmontage werden die Befestigungsbügel und Muttern nicht
benötigt.

Beim Anschluß des Sensorkabels am Meßumformer ist darauf zu achten, daß die Fabrikatenummern auf
dem Typenschild des Meßumformers und auf dem Typenschild des Meßrohres identisch sind.
Meßumformer, Sensorkabel und Meßrohr sind je Durchflußmeßgerät eine Einheit, die zusammengehörig
kalibriert wurde. Bei nicht korrekter Paarung von Meßrohr und Meßumformer kann eine
Meßwertabweichung auftreten, die außerhalb der Grenzen des Kalibrierzertifikats liegt. Die prinzipielle
Funktion des Gerätes ist davon nicht betroffen.
. Das Sensorkabel ist am Meßrohr
fest angeschlossen. Es ist gebrauchsfertig
vorkonfektioniert und
darf nicht gekürzt oder verändert
werden
. Überschüssige Kabellängen sind
unter Berücksichtigung des minimalen
Radius von 10 cm aufzuwikkeln.

Unter dem Anschlußdeckel des
Meßumformers befinden sich 6
WAGO-CAGE-CLAMP-Klemmen
für den Kabelanschluß des
Sensorkabels.
Die beiden Klemmenpaare mit der
Numerierung 1 bzw. 2 sind für den
Anschluß der Ultraschallwandler
vorgesehen, die beiden Klemmen
mit der Numerierung 3 bleiben frei.

D In einem ersten Schritt wird der Kabelschirm über das Klemmstück der Kabelverschraubung zurückgestülpt.
D Das Klemmstück und das Sensorkabel wird unter leichter Rechtsdrehung in die Gewindebuchse der
Kabelverschraubung eingeschoben.
D Die Überwurfmutter wird an die Gewindebuchse festgedreht, bis das Kabel dicht (IP65) umschlossen
ist.

4 Installation und Inbetriebnahme
Nach Anschluß des Sensorkabels erfogt der elektrische Anschluß und die Inbetriebnahme wie in der
Betriebsanleitung des Ultraschall-Durchflußmeßgerätes SITRANS F beschrieben:

Es ist zu beachten, daß bei externer Beheizung des Meßrohres die Temperatur von 180 C nicht
überschritten wird, da dies zu Schäden an den Ultraschallwandlern führen kann. Meßrohr und
Meßumformer sind aus Gründen der elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit jeweils mit kurzen
Massebändern an das Potentialausgleichssystem anzuschließen.
5 Bedienung und Gerätefunktionen
Die Bedienung des Gerätes ist identisch mit dem Kapitel 4 ”Bedienung” und Kapitel 5 ”Gerätefunktionen
und Parameter” der Betriebsanleitung des Ultraschall-Durchflußmeßgerätes SITRANS F
C79000-B5600-C110 mit folgender Ausnahme infolge der nicht ausgeführten Temperaturmessung:
-- Lokale Bedienung
Alle Parameter und Parameterwerte zur Temperaturmessung werden nicht akzeptiert.
-- HART-Kommunikation
Temperaturparameter werden zwar akzeptiert, haben jedoch keine Wirkung. Temperaturmessung wird
als gestört gemeldet.
-- PROFIBUS-Kommunikation:
Temperaturparameter werden zwar akzeptiert, haben jedoch keine Wirkung. Temperaturausgabe erfolgt
mit Status ”bad, sensor failure” (Wert 13 hex). Über Diagnose erfolgt keine gesonderte Meldung.

The mounting bracket is suitable for both pipe and wall assembly (figure 1).
2.1 Pipe assembly
For pipe assembly the mounting bracket is first fixed to the pipe with the two fastening clips.
Then the transmitter can be fastened with the 2 enclosed screws.
2.2 Wall assembly
For wall assembly the mounting bracket is screwed directly to the back of the transmitter before fixing to
the wall. The fastening clips and nuts are not required for wall assembly.

When connecting the sensor cable to the transmitter, make sure that the production numbers on the rating
plate of the transmitter are identical to those of the rating plate of the measuring pipe.
The transmitter, sensor cable and measuring pipe form one unit per flowmeter and have been calibrated
as such. If the measuring pipe and transmitter are not paired together correctly, a deviation in the
measured value may occur which is outside the limits of the calibration certificate. This does not affect the
principle function of the device.
. The sensor cable is fixed permanently
to the measuring pipe. It is
pre--assembled ready to use and
may not be shortened or modified.
. Excess lengths of cable must be
wound up taking into account the
minimum radius of 10 cm.

The clamp and the sensor cable are pushed into the threaded bush of the cable gland turning slightly to
the right.
The lock nut is tightened on the threaded bush until the cable is sealed tight (IP 65).

4 Installation and Commissioning
Connection of the sensor cable is followed by electrical connection and commissioning as described in the
Instruction Manual of the SITRANS F ultrasonic flowmeter:

Chapter 3 Commissioning
Make sure that the temperature when heating the measuring pipe externally does not exceed 180˚C
because this can damage the ultrasonic converters. The measuring pipe and the transmitter must be
connected to the potential equalization system with short ground straps for reasons of electromagnetic
compatibility.
5 Operation and device function
Operation of the device is identical to that described in chapter 4 ”Operation” and chapter 5 ”Device
Functions and Parameters” of the SITRANS F Ultrasonic Flowmeter Instruction Manual
C79000--B5600--C110 with the following exceptions due to the omitted temperature measurement:
-- Local operation
All parameters and parameter values for temperature measurement will not be accepted.
-- HART communication
Temperature parameters will be accepted but have no effect. Temperature measurement is reported
faulty.
-- PROFIBUS communication
Temperature parameters will be accepted but have no effect. Temperature is output with the status
”bad, sensor failure” (value 13 hex). There is no special message in the diagnostics.
