New underlay for wood flooring
SONIC Gold Excel is a new
The product is a three-layer
lamination based on the company’s
This foam is the key to its sound
absorption performance qualities
and impact resistance, according to
the company. It is also said to even
WAXMAN ENERGY SOLUTIONS
has launched an underfloor heating
system that reportedly warms every
room in the home without the floor
getting uncomfortably hot.
Primary Heat is based on heating
ribbon technology that releases
radiant heat, which can lead to cost
savings over conventional heating
systems, says the company.
Each room is controlled by a
thermostat and can be set to a
different temperature.
The system is reportedly suitable
for bathrooms, kitchens and
layer and the top lamination is a gold
foil facing which extends to form a
200mm overlap on both sides. This
is said to avoid any possible acoustic
bridging and facilitate continuity in
installation.
The product is described as a topend
cost efficient.
THE F599 Spray Adhesive from
FLOORWISE is said to have a higher
adhesives content than other brands.
As a result, the product has less
solvent to evaporate and reportedly
dries in less than half the time.
In the summer months, F599
takes just 30 seconds to develop
tack, says the company.
And in winter, comparable
performance is described as even
better.
With more adhesive in the can,
F599 is said to go down thicker,
floor of up to 15sq m.
The other pack provides heating
for up to 30sq m. The packs can be
connected directly to a boiler or onto
an existing radiator network.
Many tilers have reportedly
become wary of fixing tiles over
weight on the subfloor.
This creates a stronger bond,
giving more peace of mind and
allowing installers to work without
worry, according to the company.
Polysafe as never seen befor e
POLYFLOR has added two new
decorative ranges - Polysafe Wood
FX and Polysafe Mosaic.
Marketing manager Simon James
says: ‘This responds to a demand for
safety floors suitable for the
decorative ambience in front-ofhouse
areas.’
The slip resistance of Polysafe
Wood FX is reportedly achieved by
the incorporation of clear aluminium
oxide throughout the 0.7mm clear
wear layer. Polysafe Mosaic
combines clear aluminium oxide
and coloured quartz particles within
HERONTILE from PLASTIC
EXTRUDERS has been designed to
complement the company’s roll
format Heronrib matting.
The product is aimed at
preventing skin complaints on the
feet that are most commonly caused
in changing rooms and swimming
pools and accidents caused by
people slipping on wet surfaces.
Herontiles have a slip-resistant
surface and a semi-flexible open grid
format, with strong underside
supports, which will shed and drain
large quantities of water, according
the full thickness of its 0.7mm wear
layer.
Both ranges comply with HSE
guidelines, providing sustained slip
resistance throughout their
guaranteed 10-year life. They
achieve 36+ on the RRL Pendulum
wet test (Slider 96/Four S rubber)
with a surface roughness of 20
microns and above.
The 333sq mm and 15mm thick
tiles are joined together with a press
click system that reportedly
provides a seamless floorcovering.
The mats will contour over rough or
uneven surfaces and, where
necessary, can easily be cut and
shaped, says the company.
ARMSTRONG COMMERCIAL
FLOORS UK has unveiled new
additions to its Scala 100 DLW
Luxury Vinyl Collection.
Highlights include metallic
oxide tones such as brass, silver and
platinum as well as brushed
aluminium and lead.
New fine graphic network and
3D line patterns are said to provide
dramatic effects due to their gloss
levels and light reflectiveness.
Now comprising 96 patterns, the
range is said to provide a variety of
combinations in large-format
INVISTA ANTRON has rebranded
50 of its Lumena solution-dyed
coloured yarns to incorporate them
with 25% recycled nylon 6.6
content.
All of the company’s Lumena
BCF fibres have also received
Environmentally Preferable Product
(EPP) certification.
Because the fibres are solution
dyed, they reportedly provide
lasting colour. Where carpets are
cleaned frequently, there is said to
be hardly any risk of fading.
The collection features a PUR
The 1mm-thick transparent
protective layer is said to shield the
design layer below, making the
product suitable for demanding
environments.
