5.9.4 Position of the pre-filter with water separator<br />
Additionally to the standard fine filter a pre-filter with water separator must be<br />
installed outside of the sound insulation capsule in the fuel system line (not<br />
included in the delivery).<br />

5.10 Generator DC system installation<br />

Installation Instructions<br />
The Panda generators from 6.500 NE upwards have their own dynamo to charge a DC starter battery.<br />
It is recommended to install an additional starter battery for the generator.<br />
The generator is then independent from the remaining battery set. This enables you to start the genset at any time<br />
with its own starter battery even if the other batteries are discharged. A further advantage of a separate starter battery<br />
is that it isolates the generator's electric system from the rest of the boat's DC system, i.e. minus pole (-) is not<br />
connected electrically to Earth/Ground.<br />
The generator is then Earth/Ground free.<br />
5.10.1 Connection of the starter battery block<br />
IAn own separate starter battery must be installed for the generator.<br />
The positive cable (+) of the battery is attached directly at the solenoid switch of the starter motor (position 1). The<br />
negative cable (-) of the battery is attached underneath the starter motor at the engine mount (position 2).<br />
Panda Generators Panda 6000 and higher normally provided<br />
with an alternator/dynamo to charge the starter battery. At generators<br />
without alternator/dynamo it is needed to charge the<br />
starter battery with an external battery charger.<br />
Make sure that the voltage of the starter battery fits to the start<br />
system voltage<br />
f.e. 12 V starter battery for a 12 V start system<br />
f.e. 24 V starter battery for a 24 V start system (2x12 V batteries in a row)<br />
