<strong>Premier</strong> <strong>48</strong>, <strong>88</strong>, <strong>168</strong> & <strong>640</strong> <strong>Installation</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> Programming the Control Panel<br />

The plug-on communicator can be programmed to dial up to<br />

3 sets of Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) information. Each ‘Set’<br />

consists of the following options:<br />

Protocol<br />

This is the reporting protocol that is used to communicate<br />

with the Alarm Receiving Centre. The following 4 protocols<br />

are supported:<br />

• Fast Format: The panel will report using Fast Format. If<br />

this option is selected the ‘Reporting Channels’ must be<br />

programmed (see below)<br />

• Contact ID: The panel will report using Contact ID. If this<br />

option is selected, the ‘Reporting Areas’ must be<br />

programmed (see below)<br />

• SIA Level II: The panel will report using SIA Level II<br />

• EasyCom Pager: The panel will report to an EasyCom<br />

type pager<br />

• SMS Messaging: The panel will send Short Message<br />

Service (SMS) text messages to a mobile phone<br />

Primary Telephone Number<br />

This is the first telephone number that the communicator will<br />

dial for the Alarm Receiving Centre or the first mobile<br />

telephone number to send SMS to. Each telephone number<br />

can be up to 24 digits.<br />

Secondary Telephone Number<br />

This is the second telephone number that the communicator<br />

will dial for the Alarm Receiving Centre or the second mobile<br />

telephone number to send SMS to. Each telephone number<br />

can be up to 24 digits.<br />

Account Number<br />

This is the account number that will be reported to the Alarm<br />

Receiving Centre. Each account number can be up to 6 digits.<br />

Each area can also have its own account number (see<br />

page 68 for details).<br />

Dialling Attempts<br />

This is the number of times the communicator will try to dial the<br />

Alarm Receiving Centre or Pager telephone number.<br />

<br />

The number of dialling attempts is limited to 9. If this value<br />

is set to 0, the communicator will never dial out.<br />

The following option is only displayed if the<br />

Fast Format protocol is selected<br />

Reporting on<br />

This option defines which channels report to the selected<br />

Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

Restoring on<br />

This option defines which channels report a restore to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

Open/Close on<br />

This option defines which channels report Open/Close to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

The following option is only displayed if Contact ID<br />

or SIA Level II protocols are selected<br />

Reporting Areas<br />

This option defines which areas report events to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

The following option is only displayed if Contact ID,<br />

SIA Level II or EasyCom Pager protocols are selected<br />

Reports<br />

This option defines which events report to the Alarm<br />

Receiving Centre when using Contact ID or SIA Level II.<br />

P - Priority Alarm and Cancel Events<br />

The system will report Priority alarm and cancel events to<br />

the selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

A - Normal Alarm and Cancel Events<br />

The system will report alarm and cancel events to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

O - Open and Close Events<br />

The system will report open and close events to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

B - Omit and Reinstate Events<br />

The system will report omit and reinstate events to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

M - Maintenance Alarm Events<br />

The system will report maintenance alarm events to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

T - Tamper Alarm Events<br />

The system will report tamper alarm events to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

C - Test Call Events<br />

The system will report test call events to the selected<br />

Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

R - Restore Events<br />

The system will report restore events to the selected<br />

Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

The following option is only displayed if Fast Format<br />

Contact ID or SIA Level II protocols are selected<br />

Config.<br />

This option defines which secondary options are enabled.<br />

A - Area Account<br />

Events are reported to the Alarm Receiving Centre using<br />

the area account numbers (see page 68 for details).<br />

S - SIA Level I / UCP<br />

Events are reported to the Alarm Receiving Centre using<br />

SIA Level I or or to an SMS Messaging Server using UCP.<br />

R - Enable Radio-Pad<br />

The system will use the Paknet radio-pad to report events<br />

to the selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

G - Enable GSM Module<br />

The system will use the GSM Module to report events to<br />

the selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

A - AV Module<br />

The AV Module will dial the Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

F - Use GSM First<br />

The GSM module is the primary path when this is enabled<br />

I - Connect Via IP<br />

The system will use the IP Module to report events to the<br />

selected Alarm Receiving Centre.<br />

T - Send SIA Text<br />

Text is sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre when using<br />

SIA II (this makes the protocol SIA III)<br />
