Reset and Service Messages<br />

When the system requires attention because of a potential<br />

problem, the display will show one of three service<br />

messages. These messages can also be accessed at any<br />

time, allowing the user to view installer information.<br />

These messages would normally be programmed with<br />

the telephone numbers of the installer or the Alarm<br />

Receiving Centre (see page 49 for details).<br />

To display the service messages, proceed as follows:<br />

Press followed by for the Service message:<br />

Press followed by for the Anti-code message:<br />

Press to exit from the message, the display will then<br />

return to normal.<br />

When alarm information is being displayed, pressing the<br />

SCROLL key will slow down the display and also allow<br />

manual scrolling through the events.<br />

Fault Warning Tones<br />

When a fault condition occurs i.e. mains fail, line fault etc. the<br />

internal sounders will chime every 30 seconds for 3 minutes.<br />

The chiming will automatically stop when a valid User code is<br />

entered, when is pressed or after 3 minutes (whichever<br />

occurs first). The fault indication will only be cleared from the<br />

display when the fault has been rectified i.e. power,<br />

telephone line has been restored.<br />

The alarm engineer has logged into the<br />

programming menu and is working on<br />

site (this message will clear when the<br />

engineer logs off or the system is armed).<br />

To many invalid code attempts have<br />

caused the keypad to lock out. The<br />

keypad will remain like this for 5 minutes.<br />

The keypad has been disabled to prevent<br />

unauthorised access. The display will<br />

automatically clear when it is re-enabled.<br />

Areas are being armed using one of the<br />

control timers (enter a valid User code to<br />

defer the arming for 30 minutes).<br />

Engineer access has been programmed<br />

for Engineer code + User code (see<br />

page 46 for details).<br />

The Engineers code was entered when the<br />

system was fully armed (access to the<br />

programming menu can only be gained<br />

when the system is not fully armed.<br />

The number of devices connected to the<br />

networks has changed from the last time<br />

a ‘Confirm Devices’ was done.<br />

There is a Mains failure (the keypad may<br />

chime every minute, enter a valid code to<br />

stop the chime). The display will<br />

automatically clear when mains is<br />

reapplied.<br />

There is a Phone Line fault (the keypad<br />

may chime every minute, enter a valid<br />

code to stop the chime). The display will<br />

automatically clear when line fault<br />

clears.<br />

The service timer has expired indicating<br />

that the system requires a service or a<br />

fault has occurred that requires attention<br />

(the system can normally still be used).<br />

Contact your alarm company to advise.<br />

The Standby Battery has not been<br />

connected, the display will automatically<br />

clear after 1 minute.<br />

There is a fault with the control panel<br />

standby battery.<br />

Zones that have been placed on test<br />

have failed the test.<br />

There is a fault with the control panel lid<br />

tamper.<br />

There is a fault with the bell tamper on<br />

the control panel.<br />

There is a fault with the auxiliary tamper<br />

on the control panel.<br />

The bell fuse on the control panel has<br />

blown.<br />

The Auxiliary fuse on the control panel<br />

has blown.<br />

There is a fault with the lid tamper of<br />

Keypad X,X.<br />

Keypad X,X has been lost off of the<br />

system.<br />

There is a fault with the lid tamper of<br />

Expander X,X<br />

Expander X,X has been lost off of the<br />

system.<br />

The voltage at expander X,X is very low.<br />

The expander’s Auxiliary input (that is<br />

programmed as bell tamper) is in fault.<br />

The expander’s Auxiliary input (that is<br />

programmed as aux tamper) is in fault.<br />
