Zone Connections<br />
Any zones that are not being used must be linked out or<br />
programmed as ‘Not Used’ (see page 33 for details).<br />
When using End Of Line wiring, ensure that no more than 5<br />
detectors are connected to each zone.<br />
A zone short can be programmed for ‘Active’ or ‘Tamper’<br />
response (see page 46 for details).<br />
Double Pole<br />
Use this wiring configuration when connecting normally<br />
closed or normally open detection devices to the zone using<br />
4-Wires.<br />
When using Double Pole wiring, the system will respond as<br />
follows:<br />

Zone Status System Response<br />
‘A’ Closed Zone Secure<br />
‘A’ Open Zone Active<br />
‘T’ Closed Tamper Secure<br />
‘T’ Open Tamper Active<br />
Short Circuit * Zone Active or Tamper<br />
* Can be programmed for ‘Active’ or ‘Tamper’<br />
response (see page 46 for details).<br />
When using this configuration, no more than 10<br />
detectors can be connected to each zone.<br />
When wiring device as normally open contacts, ensure<br />
that system Config. option 21 is set to ‘Zone Short =<br />
Active’ (see page 46 for details).<br />
End Of Line<br />
Use this wiring configuration when connecting normally<br />
closed or normally open detection devices to the zone using<br />
2-Wires.<br />
When Configuration Option 21 (see page 46 for details) is<br />
programmed as ‘Short = Tamper’ the system will respond as<br />
follows:<br />

0 - 2k Zone Tamper<br />
2k1 - 4k6 (EOL) Zone Secure<br />
4k7 - 20k Zone Active<br />
21k+ Zone Tamper<br />

detectors can be connected to each zone.<br />
When Configuration Option 21 (see page 46 for details) is<br />
programmed as ‘Short = Active’ the system will respond as<br />
