7 nights footsteps of napoleon & amalfi coast

Enjoy a lovely late summer getaway to some of the most beautiful
places in Italy, including three days in and around the Amalfi
Coast. You’ll have opportunities to tour the two villas where
Napoleon lived while exiled on Elba, and to explore the waterfront
promenades and plazas of Ajaccio, his birthplace on Corsica.
Other highlights include:
• Optional half-day Land Discoveries ® from Olbia to Costa
Smeralda, a stunning setting of creamy beaches, blue-green
waters and secluded coves.
• Three days exploring the cliffside towns of the Amalfi Coast,
including late nights in both Amalfi and Capri. Hike the
breathtaking Path of the Gods, taste limoncello and olive oils,
shop and dine in lovely old town squares, and ride the chairlift
to fabulous views on top of Capri’s Mount Solaro. You’ll also
have time to visit the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

The Italian cities of Rome and Venice bookend this voyage
featuring scenic vistas at every stop. Enjoy a late night stay in
the cliffside town of Sorrento, appreciating the panoramic views,
citrus-scented air, and the nearby pleasures of Capri. From its
vantage point on Mt. Tauro, Taormina boasts views of Mt. Etna,
a charming main street lined with shops and restaurants, and
beautiful nearby Greek ruins. We’ll sail the dramatic Bay of
Kotor, Southern Europe’s deepest fjord, and visit the UNESCO
World Heritage Sites of Kotor and Dubrovnik. With an overnight
in Venice, there’s time to explore the city’s great art and
picturesque canals.
