You’ll love that our smaller ships let us dock close to the
heart of Seville, within a mile of the Old Town and Cathedral.
You’ll want to arrive early for the Seville April Fair, an annual
spring celebration of dancing and socializing in festive pavilions
called casetas. In keeping with tradition, the locals wear flamenco
dresses and fitted suits. Our overnight stay in Seville coincides
with the fair’s final day and a fabulous midnight fireworks show.
Then we slip through Gibraltar, the gateway to the Mediterranean,
and head to the treasures of The Alhambra. In Valencia, don’t
miss the City of Arts and Sciences, a beautiful complex designed
by architect Santiago Calatrava housing a museum, gardens,
a planetarium and more. Valencia is also home to the Silk
Exchange, a stunning 15th century indoor marketplace that’s
now a World Heritage site. In Barcelona, Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia
and Guell Park will amaze you, and you’ll love the views from
peaceful Montserrat. With an overnight stay, treat yourself to
wine and tapas, a flamenco show, and Barcelona’s famous nightlife.
