This voyage balances eight great destinations with ten relaxing
days at sea. With an overnight in Rio, unwind on gorgeous
beaches and dance the night away to the sensual rhythms of
bossa nova or samba. UNESCO World Heritage Sites on your
voyage include the colonial town of Pelourinho in Salvador de
Bahia, and the 16th century town of Olinda, which you can
visit from Recife. Then it’s on to Belem at the mouth of the
Amazon River, 60 miles upriver from the Atlantic, where you
can shop in the colorful Ver-o-Peso marketplace. Next you’ll
enjoy three very different island experiences. We’ll anchor off
Ile Royale, and tender you onshore for self-guided touring and
close views of Devil’s Island, the infamous French penal colony.
Then you’ll have a full day to swim in the giant stone baths of
Virgin Gorda, followed by a late night stay to savor the pristine
beaches and British flavors of Bridgetown. Between destination
adventures, relax at sea with spa services, fitness and yoga
classes, poolside reading, and evenings in the casino or lounges.

In Salvador de Bahia, don’t miss the old colonial town of
Pelourinho, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with
beautifully preserved churches glittering with gold altars
and ornate carvings. Salvador is also known for its fabulous
carnival, fine percussionists and capoiera dancers.
