✪ Sanphet prasat palace at Bangkok’s Ancient City.
Walk candle-lit paths to enter the Ancient City, a 200-acre
site representing Thailand’s architectural heritage of temples,
shrines, palaces and stupas. Enjoy curries, Pad Thai, chicken
satay and other Thai foods paired with beer and Mai-Tais. Soak
up the local culture as you watch dancers, artisans and live
performances of Thai Khim (dulcimer).
Bangkok, Thailand
The Temple of the Reclining Buddha, or Wat Pho, should be high
on your list of “must see” Bangkok experiences. More than
1,000 Buddhas adorn this temple, but the big draw is the giant
gold reclining Buddha, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, with
mother-of-pearl inlays on his eyes and feet. Wat Pho is also
known for its excellent Thai massage school.
