AIRPLANE PURCHASED<br />

Eugene Bright<br />

The News-Sentinel, July 2, 1937<br />

Eugene Bright, owner of the Bright Hardwood Lumber<br />

Company, has purchased a Redwing cabin monoplane and plans to use<br />

that means of transportation to his mill in Muscatine, Iowa. Mr. Bright<br />

returns to his home here every week end and the trip by motor car takes<br />

about seven hours. By plane the trip takes two and a half hours. Bright<br />

has a students license and eventually plans to get a pilots license.<br />

COTTAGE PURCHASED<br />

Locust Point, owned by Clark Condon, Rochester, has been<br />

purchased by Emille Pop Martin, one time owner of Colonial Hotel,<br />

Fred H. Moore announced today.<br />

STEININGER REUNION<br />

Hiatt Woods, Tippecanoe River<br />

The Steininger reunion was held Monday at the C.N. Hiatt woods<br />

along the Tippecanoe river, with relatives and friends present from<br />

Benton Harbor Mich., South Bend, Auburn, Royal Center and<br />

Rochester.<br />

A basket lunch was enjoyed at noon and the afternoon was spent<br />

singing, speaking and playing games.<br />

Leonard Steininger was elected president and Mrs. Berlin Van<br />

Soik, secretary-treasurer, for the coming year.<br />

PURDUES WARD LAMBERT<br />

To Hold Coaching School Here<br />

Coach Ward Lambert, Purdue basketball mentor whose teams<br />

have won or tied for the Big Ten title nine times in the past seventeen<br />

years, will resume his summr coaching school at Lake Manitou the<br />

week of August 16-21. - - - - -<br />

In resuming his popular summer coahing school after a lapse of a<br />

few years, Lambert again selected Lake Manitou as the site because it<br />

makes possible the combination of basketball with enjoyable vacation.<br />
