L.M. Shoemaker has sold his general store in Kewanna to Peter J.<br />

Dwyer of Kewanna, who has take possession of the same. Mr.<br />

Shoemaker is the postmaster at Kewanna.<br />

Announcement was made today that the Brubaker Dairy operated<br />

by Claude Brubaker has been sold to Ford Johnson, owner of the<br />

Johnson Dairy at 110 East Seventh street.<br />

The transfer was made today and the Johnson Dairy is now<br />

serving all of the customers of the Brubaker Dairy. Mr. Johnson has<br />

contracted to purchase all of the milk from the Brubaker herd. - - - -<br />

The Colonial Hotel and Gardens opens its pavilion dance garden<br />

Thursday evening, May 13 with Jan Garber, the Idol of the Airlines and<br />

his complete stage show. This internationally known band needs no<br />

introduction, as he has played before capacity crowds at the Colonial on<br />

several different occsions.<br />

Featured entertainers with Garber are Roberta Sherwood, Russell<br />

Brown, Lew Palmer, Fritz Heibron and Tony Allen. - - - -<br />

Charles V. Timmons, a registered pharmacist, of Peru, Ind., has<br />

accepted a position at the Blue Drug store and has already assumed his<br />

duties there. Mr. Timmons was employed for several years by the<br />

McNamara drug store in Huntington, Ind The new druggist and his<br />

wife will move to this city as soon as they are able to secure a suitable<br />

residence.<br />
