Rudy Bundy & Orchestra<br />

The News-Sentinel, July 22, <strong>1936</strong><br />

Rudy Bundy and His WLW Orchestra, recently featured at the<br />

Gibson Hotel, Cincinnati, will be the next attraction at the Fairview<br />

Hotel Dance Gardens. They will be heard for one week starting next<br />

Saturday evening. Bundy and his men will replace Dick Cisne<br />

Orchestra.<br />

To Dissolve<br />

The News-Sentinel, July 24, <strong>1936</strong><br />

Articles of dissolution have been filed with the Secretary of State<br />

asking that the Akron Home Builders company, a corporation, be<br />

dissolved.<br />

The group organized fifteen years ago and built many attractive<br />

homes here. Some of the best looking homes in Akron have been built<br />

by the Home Builders company.<br />

W.C. Miller was president and Earl Leininger, secretary-treasurer<br />

at the time the papers were filed.<br />

ERIE RAILROAD<br />

New Steel On Erie<br />

The News-Sentinel, July 24, <strong>1936</strong><br />

New steel is to be laid on the west bound Erie track for about six<br />

miles west of Servia. The steel is to be heavier than that in use now,<br />

being what is known as 120 pound steel, weighing that much to the<br />

yard. The old steel was of about 100 pounds, and was pretty well worn.<br />

A crew of about twenty steel men are expected from Ohio the first of<br />

the week, and some local labor will probably be employed.<br />

COLONIAL HOTEL<br />

Dick Barrie Orchestra, Fri., Sat. & Sun.<br />

Through a special grant from the orchestra booking agency The<br />

Dick Barrie orchestra which made its initial appearance at the Colonial<br />

Gardens Thursday evening will remain at the Colonial over the week<br />

end and where it will play Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.<br />

This band which has been playing at the Hotel Gibson, Cincinnati<br />

and over the WLW radio network is one of the most<br />
