NOBBY TRUE BAKERY<br />

Charles Stewart, owner and operator of a bakery at Bremen, has<br />

purchased the Nobby True bakery in this city, according to an<br />

announcement by its new owner.<br />

The new proprietor has already taken over management of the<br />

bakery. Modern equipment is now being installed and will be ready for<br />

operation Saturday.<br />

Mr. True has been engaged in the restaurant and bakery business<br />

in Rochester for over 30 years. The True bakery is one of the best<br />

equipped and most complete baking units in Northern Indiana.<br />

FURNITURE STORE IN AKRON<br />

Opening By Irvin McHatton<br />

Akron is to have a new furniture store in the Ed Case building,<br />

according to an announcement made today by Irvin McHatton of<br />

Elkhart. Mr. McHatton, who is an experienced furniture dealer, will<br />

open his new store next week. He will be assisted in business by his<br />

son Gerald McHatton, who graduated this year from Miami University<br />

at Coral Gables, Florida.<br />

CORNELL FRUIT MARKET<br />

Sold to Claude & Dwight Keim<br />

The News-Sentinel, June 12, <strong>1936</strong><br />

Mrs. Elizabeth Cornell announced today that she had sold her<br />

fruit market at 610 Main street, just to the north of the Char-Bell<br />

Theatre to Claude and Dwight Keim of Twelve Mile.<br />

The Keim brothers today were razing the stand and will move it<br />

to Peru, where they will erect a market. Mrs. Cornell has operated fruit<br />

markets in this city for several years.<br />

Mrs. Cornell is retiring from business because of ill health and<br />

because of the sickness of her daughter, Wilma, who has assisted her in<br />

the operation of the market.<br />

Mrs. Cornell will continue to sell cottage cheese, cream and<br />

dressed poultry from her home north of the city on Road 31.<br />
