Mr. Moore was elected president of the Indiana Livestock<br />

Breeders Association, which is the largest organization of its kind in the<br />

<strong>County</strong> Agent Noah Hadley was named as one of six of Indianas<br />

most outstanding and efficient county agents. As there are nearly a<br />

hundred county agents throughout the state, this achievement and honor<br />

was considered most complimentary. - - - - -<br />

Twenty-four Miles Staked<br />

The <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> R.E.M.C. project is being carried on through<br />

the west section of the county despite bad weather according to an<br />

announcement made today by Ralph Murray, local manager. Twentyfour<br />

miles have been staked to date and today the crew is working along<br />

the river road.<br />

Harry Herendeen has leased the Cities Service filling station in<br />

Akron which was formerly operated by his brother the late Dever<br />

Herendeen and will continue the same in operation. Dever Herendeen<br />

was killed in an auto accident east of this city in road 14 several weeks<br />

ago.<br />

President Roosevelt is said to have received an enormous number<br />

of letters from the so-called small business men. Apparently the<br />

owners and managers of many small concerns have been giving him<br />

thir ideas about trade and employment. These letters must contain a<br />

vast amount of practical wisdom, from which any statesman could learn<br />

much<br />

The man who does business on a small scale has a point of view<br />

which is usually reasonable and fair. If he has been making a living, he<br />

understands the fundamental principles that make business thrive. He<br />
