Trip description: CSIRO’s Queensland Centre for Advanced Technology is a technology precinct for<br />

the resources, energy and associated advanced technology industries. The trip will<br />

highlight the Virtual Mining Centre, CSIRO’s low emissions coal research focussed<br />

on coal gasification and syngas separation technologies, a demonstration on non-<br />

GPS dependant autonomous vehicles, advanced borehole logging research, and an<br />

overview of CSIRO coal research including coal characterisation, preparation, mine<br />

safety and optimisation research.<br />
