Workshops and Short Courses<br />
A series of professional development workshops and short courses will be held in Brisbane at the<br />
<strong>Congress</strong> venue (Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre) and other venues throughout Brisbane<br />
before, during and after the <strong>34th</strong> <strong>IGC</strong>.<br />
A list of the workshops appears below. The workshops are being managed by various providors and these<br />
providors have determined workshop fees.<br />
It will be necessary to register in advance for all workshops and fees apply in some cases. You can now<br />
register for the PD Workshops through the online registration form. If you have already registered, please<br />
email register@34igc.org to receive a personalised link.<br />

SUMMARY The 6th <strong>International</strong> Sensitive High Resolution Ion MicroProbe (SHRIMP) Workshop<br />
will be held on 1-4 August <strong>2012</strong> at the O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat immediately<br />
before the <strong>34th</strong> <strong>IGC</strong>. The meeting is being organised by the Geoscience Australia<br />
Geochronology Laboratory and will discuss all matters SHRIMP including the latest<br />
on technique development, reports from an inter-laboratory calibration exercise and<br />
plans for future method development.<br />
