3.5.1 Cosmenyl gran. These pigment preparations are supplied in granular form. They are dust-free, show high flow capability, and are suitable for aqueous systems. Cosmenyl gran. preparations are used for the coloration of cosmetic products (e.g. tooth paste, soap, or mascara), laundry powders, finger paints and other consumer products. The basic pigments of the preparations listed below comply with the requirements for cosmetic colorants defined by the European Union in the Cosmetic Directive 76/768/EEC. This directive is valid for all countries of the European Colour Colour Name Index Index No. Cosmenyl Union, and it is used as guideline by many other countries. 3.6 Viscofil Aqueous preparations, specially developed for spin dyeing of viscose, containing pigments that are resistant to the stresses occurring in this process. The anionic Viscofil grades are glycol-free and are used in the spin dyeing of fibers. They can also be used in practically all other aqueous systems. The Colour Index data relate to the basic pigments. The Colour Colour Name Index Index No. Viscofil data given in the table may vary because these pigment preparations are standardized in respect to tinctorial strength.
