3.2.2 Hostatint E<br />
The Hostatint E pastes are a range of pigment preparations<br />
designed for water-based industrial coatings. The<br />
carrier resin system, a water-soluble acrylic resin,<br />
<strong>neu</strong>tralized with ammonia, is state of the art to ensure<br />
optimum pigment loading combined with good rheological<br />
properties.<br />
The choice of pigments available is based on the comprehensive<br />
range offered by Clariant to the industrial<br />
coatings market.<br />

Hostatint<br />
At normal addition levels, Hostatint E can be stirred into<br />
virtually all types of water-based industrial coatings (air<br />
drying and stoving) provided they are compatible with<br />
the water-based binders used for the coating production.<br />
Hostatint E are manufactured without intentionally<br />
adding volatile organic compounds in the sense of the<br />
Directive 2004/42/EC. This enables our customer to meet<br />
limit values for VOC’s given in this Directive that became<br />
effectives as of 01.01.<strong>2007</strong> and also in view of 01.01.2010.<br />
