3.2 Hostatint Binder-free multipurpose pigment preparations in paste form that are compatible with aqueous and with nonaqueous solvent-containing paint systems. The preferred field of application of the Hostatint grades is decorative paints based on aqueous polymer dispersions of all kinds and long-oil alkyd resin paints. They may be fully compatible with other binder systems, but this should be checked by trials. The individual grades are miscible in all proportions with each other. The Colour Index data relate to the basic pigments. 3.2.1 Hostatint A 100 Hostatint A 100 pastes are a new range of solvent based preparations using the industry standard aldehyde carrier resin designed for industrial paint applications. The Hostatint A 100 range replaces the well-known Sandosperse A grades and is also designed as a replacement for most of the Sandalkyd products.
