CIK-FIA WORLD KF1 CHAMPIONSHIP - MACAU, 18th-2st 10 2012
IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF MACAU, TOM JOYNER (ON A LH CHASSIS
DESIGNED BY LEWIS HAMILTON) ACHIEVES AN AWESOME DOUBLE WIN
EXCELLENT DOUBLE WIN FOR TOM JOYNER ON THE CHASSIS PRODUCED BY CRG AND WITH THE BMB
ENGINE IN THE FIRST TWO FINALS OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. ALSO MAX VERSTAPPEN (CRG-TM)
GAINS THE PODIUM IN RACE 1 AS WELL AS JORDON LENNOX-LAMB (CRG-BMB) IN RACE-2. GREAT
EXPECTATIONS FROM THE OTHER TWO FINALS, WHICH AWARD THE CIK-FIA WORLD TITLE, ON SUNDAY.
Macau-Coloane. Awesome double win of the young British champion Tom Joyner in the
first two finals on Saturday in Macau, in the last round of the CIL-FIA World KF1
Championship. Not a bad result at all for a driver at his debut on this winding circuit near
the shore of the South China Sea. He immediately managed to express himself at top level
on his LH chassis produced by CRG and powered by a Bmb engine prepared by the Czech
technicians of KVS.
FIRST WIN IN A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FOR LH. It is also the maiden victory in a CIK-FIA
world championship race for the chassis designed by the F1 champion Lewis Hamilton for
the Italian factory. The LH Racing Team, capably guided by the Swedish Richard Kaell
Franchini, is at his first racing season.
Anyway, in this last round of the world championship there were all the makings for a great result
for CRG in Macau, especially after the time trials on Saturday morning, which confirmed the good
results achieved during free practice on Thursday and Friday.
With Max Verstappen in pole position, Felice Tiene and Tom Joyner in second row, followed by
Davide Forè in third, and then Jordon Lennox-Lamb and Eddy Tinini in 10th and 11th position,
CRG stood a good chance to achieve another "hat trick" like the one achieved in Zuera, in the
recent KF2 World Cup won by Tiene.

UNPREDICTABLE FINAL RESULT IN FINAL-1. The first of the two finals finished in an
unpredictable way, because of a crash between David Forè and his teammate Felice Tiene at the
third of the twenty-one laps in programme. The two drivers were occupying the first positions and
still battling for the world title.
So, it was Max Verstappen who got the best result for CRG gaining the second step of the
podium, with Jordon Lennox-Lamb fifth and Eddy Tinini achieving an excellent eighth place.
JOYNER WINS IN FINAL-2. In final 2, Tom Joyner pulled away toward victory, after exchanging
positions with Max Verstappen at the beginning of the race. The latter was then forced to retire in
the second half of the race for a technical failure.
However, beside Joyner on the podium of Final 2 there was Jordon Lennox-Lamb, excellent
third behind the leader of the ranking Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart-Vortex), who missed the
start of Final 1 for a problem with his starter. Felice Tiene did his part recovering as far as the fifth
place, closely followed by Davide Forè. Eddy Tinini, after an astonishing eighth place in Final 1,
this time had to be content with the 18th position, even though he showed to be at his ease on this
track.
So, the Championship will be decided on Sunday, after Finals 3 and 4 of this thrilling weekend.
Nothing is decided yet and only three results out of four will be taken into consideration.
