Libelle BusinessShadow Disaster Recovery and High
Availability Solution for Use with SAP® Applications to be
Demonstrated at SAP TechEd 2008 Las Vegas
Libelle will demonstrate its BusinessShadow solution, which mirrors SAP solution-based
landscapes across large distances with a built-in time-delay. With BusinessShadow, companies
can avoid downtime caused by software/user errors and site failures.
Las Vegas, NV – Sept. 8, 2008 – Libelle, a Stuttgart-based software company, announced
today that it will demonstrate its BusinessShadow solution for use with SAP® applications at
SAP TechEd 2008 Las Vegas, SAP’s largest ecosystem education event of the year. With this
Disaster Recovery and High Availability solution, SAP application-based landscapes can be
mirrored time-delayed, so companies are protected from unplanned downtime. Due to the small
need of network bandwidth, data can be mirrored over any distance to a different location.
BusinessShadow complements existing technologies for use with SAP applications such as
Storage Area Networks, Snapshot-methods or Clusters since these approaches won’t offer
complete protection from software/user errors and data corruption.
During a Hands-on Session on September 8, visitors can perform BusinessShadow
stress tests: Pull network cables, crash databases, corrupt data files, kill server
processes. The Libelle live experience will take place at the Venetian/Las Vegas, Room
Basana (#2803).
Libelle BusinessShadow 4.7 has achieved SAP-certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver®
technology platform for its integration with the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP
NetWeaver AS) component. Libelle bundles the products DBShadow, FSShadow and
SwitchApplication. The solution is optimized for databases and file structures for SAP
application-based environments and integrates smoothly with existing landscapes. Libelle
BusinessShadow can also be used with MaxDB, DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
SAP TechEd 2008 Las Vegas takes place September 8-12 at the Venetian/Palazzo in Las
Vegas. Libelle will exhibit with its sister company Aivant L.P., representing Libelle’s business in
the United States, in booth number 53.
