SEC. 1120-a2. Black bass—sale prohibited—exception.<br />

1 It shall be unlawful to buy, sell, or barter, or <strong>of</strong>fer to buy, sell or<br />

2 barter, any black bass, whether caught or taken within or without<br />

3 the state, or lawfully or unlawfully taken, except that such black bass<br />

4 <strong>of</strong> one day's catch, lawfully taken, may be sold to and bought by an<br />

5 individual for his family consumption in the locality where so law-<br />

6 fully taken.<br />

SEC. 1120-a3. Black bass—when possession prohibited.<br />

1 It shall be unlawful for any commercial institution, commission<br />

2 house, restaurant or cafe keeper, or fish dealer, to have in possession<br />

3 any black bass, whether caught or taken within or without the state,<br />

4 or lawfully or unlawfully taken.<br />

SEC. 1120-a4. Violation—penalty.<br />

1 Any person who shall be found guilty <strong>of</strong> violating any <strong>of</strong> the<br />

2 provisions <strong>of</strong> the three preceding sections shall be fined not less than<br />

3 ten dollars for each <strong>of</strong>fense.<br />

SEC. 1124. Game protected—penalty.<br />

1 No person shall trap, shoot or kill any pinnated grouse or prairie<br />

2 chicken between the first day <strong>of</strong> December and the first day <strong>of</strong> Sep-<br />

3 tember next following ; any woodcock, between the first day <strong>of</strong> January<br />

4 and the tenth day <strong>of</strong> July ; any ruffed grouse or pheasant, wild turkey<br />

5 or quail, between the fifteenth day <strong>of</strong> December and the first day <strong>of</strong><br />

6 November ; any wild duck, goose or brant, rail, plover, sandpiper and<br />

7 marsh or beach bird, between the fifteenth day <strong>of</strong> April and the first<br />

8 day <strong>of</strong> September; or any gray or fox squirrel or timber squirrel,<br />

9 between the first day <strong>of</strong> January and the first day <strong>of</strong> September ; and<br />

10 it shall be unlawful to kill any quail prior to November first, nineteen<br />

11 hundred twenty-seven.<br />

12 Shooting or killing quail on the public highway shall be in viola-<br />

13 tion <strong>of</strong> law. No person shall kill or attempt to kill any <strong>of</strong> the birds<br />

14 mentioned in this section from any artificial ambush <strong>of</strong> any kind or<br />

15 with the aid or use <strong>of</strong> any sneak boat or sink box or from any sail-<br />

16 boat, gasoline or electric launch or steamboat, or any other water con-<br />

17 veyance, except as propelled by oar or paddle, or other device used<br />

18 for concealment in the open water, nor use any artificial light, battery<br />

19 or other deception, contrivance or device whatever, with the intent to<br />

20 attract or deceive any <strong>of</strong> the birds mentioned in this chapter, except<br />

21 that decoys may be used in hunting wild geese and ducks, but no<br />

22 person shall at any time hunt or shoot from any boat, canoe, contriv-<br />

23 anee or device whatever on any <strong>of</strong> the waters <strong>of</strong> this state between<br />

24 sunset and sunrise. No person shall trap, shoot or kill any prairie<br />

25 chicken prior to the year nineteen hundred twenty-seven. Any person<br />

26 violating any <strong>of</strong> the provisions <strong>of</strong> this section shall be held guilty <strong>of</strong> a<br />

27 misdemeanor and punished as provided for in section eleven hundred<br />

28 thirty-one <strong>of</strong> the compiled code, and in addition thereto for use <strong>of</strong> any<br />

29 ambush, sink box, sneak boat or other water conveyance, prohibited<br />

30 by law, on the waters <strong>of</strong> this state, a fine <strong>of</strong> not less than twenty-five
