67 such applicant. Every such work permit shall give the name, sex, the<br />

68 date and place <strong>of</strong> birth and the residence <strong>of</strong> the child in whose name<br />

69 it is issued, describe the color <strong>of</strong> the hair and eyes, give his height and<br />

70 weight and shall contain a statement <strong>of</strong> the pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> age accepted, the<br />

71 school grade completed, the name and address <strong>of</strong> the establishment<br />

72 where the child is to be employed and shall describe the work for<br />

73 which the permit is issued; it shall further certify that the papers<br />

74 required for its issuance have been duly examined, approved and filed<br />

75 and that the person named therein has personally appeared before the<br />

76 <strong>of</strong>ficer issuing the permit and has been examined. A work permit shall<br />

77 be issued for every position obtained by a child between the ages <strong>of</strong><br />

78 fourteen and sixteen years.<br />

79 Any <strong>of</strong>ficer whose duty it is to enforce the provisions here<strong>of</strong> shall<br />

80 have authority to demand <strong>of</strong> any employer in or about whose place or<br />

81 establishment a child apparently under the age <strong>of</strong> sixteen years is em-<br />

82 ployed, permitted or suffered to work, and whose work permit is not<br />

83 filed as required by this section, that such employer shall either fur-<br />

84 nish him within ten days the same documentary evidence <strong>of</strong> age <strong>of</strong><br />

85 such child as is required upon the issuance <strong>of</strong> a work permit, or shall<br />

86 cease to employ or permit or suffer such child to work in such place or<br />

87 establishment.<br />

SEC. 891. Employment bureau — commissioner to establish —<br />

clerk—expense.<br />

1 The commissioner <strong>of</strong> the bureau <strong>of</strong> labor statistics shall maintain<br />

2 in his <strong>of</strong>fice at the seat <strong>of</strong> government a department to be called the<br />

3 state free employment bureau, and the said commissioner is hereby<br />

4 authorized and directed to adopt such rules and regulations as are<br />

5 . necessary to carry out the purposes <strong>of</strong> this section and sections eight<br />

6 hundred ninety-two and eight hundred ninety-three <strong>of</strong> the compiled<br />

7 code. He shall, with the approval <strong>of</strong> the executive council, appoint a<br />

8 competent person who shall be placed in charge <strong>of</strong> such work and be<br />

9 known as the chief clerk <strong>of</strong> the state free employment bureau. His<br />

10 term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice shall be the same as that <strong>of</strong> commissioner <strong>of</strong> the bureau<br />

11 <strong>of</strong> labor statistics. All printing, postage, stationery and other neces-<br />

12 sary <strong>of</strong>fice expenses, including telephone and telegraph bills used to<br />

13 properly carry on the work <strong>of</strong> such free employment bureau, shall be<br />

14 paid by the state in the same manner as are paid the other expenses<br />

15 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the commissioner <strong>of</strong> the bureau <strong>of</strong> labor statistics.<br />

SECTION 899. Inspectors—chief inspector to decide disputes—<br />

assistants—bond.<br />

1 The governor shall appoint inspectors <strong>of</strong> petroleum, not exceeding<br />

2 the number authorized by law, one <strong>of</strong> whom shall be designated as<br />

8 chief inspector, who shall have general supervision <strong>of</strong> the inspection
