TITLE V.<br />

REGULATIONS UNDER POLICE POWER.<br />

CHAPTER 1.<br />

COAL MINES AND MINING.<br />

SECTION 729. Meetings.<br />

1 Said board shall meet in the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the state mine inspectors in<br />

2 the capítol on the first Monday in March <strong>of</strong> each even-numbered year<br />

3 for the examination <strong>of</strong> applicants ; notice <strong>of</strong> which examination shall<br />

4 be published in at least one newspaper in each mining district not<br />

5 less than fifteen days preceding the date <strong>of</strong> such examination; and<br />

6 shall be furnished with the necessary stationery and other material<br />

7 for the examination in the same manner as other state <strong>of</strong>ficers are<br />

8 provided with supplies.<br />

SEC. 738. General <strong>of</strong>fice—report to governor.<br />

1 The three inspectors shall maintain a general <strong>of</strong>fice in the capítol,<br />

2 and keep therein all records, correspondence, documents, apparatus<br />

3 or other property pertaining to their <strong>of</strong>fice; they shall meet in said<br />

4 <strong>of</strong>fice biennially on or before August fifteenth preceding the regular<br />

5 session <strong>of</strong> the general assembly, and make report to the governor <strong>of</strong><br />

6 their <strong>of</strong>ficial doings, including therein all matters which by this chap-<br />

7 ter are specially committed to their charge, adding such suggestion<br />

8 as to needed future legislation, as in their opinion may be important.<br />

SEC. 780. Board <strong>of</strong> examiners to adopt rules.<br />

1 The board <strong>of</strong> examiners referred to in section seven hundred<br />

2 seventy-nine <strong>of</strong> the compiled code shall meet at such times and places,<br />

3 shall adopt such rules, conditions, and regulations, and shall prescribe<br />

4 and conduct such examinations as shall be more efficient to give effect<br />

5 to the spirit and intent <strong>of</strong> this chapter.<br />
