1. For all state <strong>of</strong>ficers, boards, departments, commissions and<br />

institutions, to be filed with the auditor <strong>of</strong> state, except that duplicate<br />

inventories <strong>of</strong> property under supervision <strong>of</strong> the board <strong>of</strong> control and<br />

board <strong>of</strong> education shall be filed in the respective <strong>of</strong>fices <strong>of</strong> said<br />

boards.<br />

2. For counties, cities, including cities acting under special<br />

charter, towns, townships, school corporations, and public libraries,<br />

with the county auditor <strong>of</strong> the county wherein such city, town, township,<br />

school- corporation or public library is situated.<br />

SEC. 683-a9. Duty <strong>of</strong> state and county auditor.<br />

It shall be the duty <strong>of</strong> the auditor <strong>of</strong> state, and <strong>of</strong> the county<br />

auditor, to see that the inventories and statements herein required to<br />

be filed are so filed in their respective <strong>of</strong>fices.<br />

SEC. 683-alO. System <strong>of</strong> books, blanks, etc.<br />

The auditor <strong>of</strong> state is hereby authorized and directed to formulate<br />

and prescribe a system <strong>of</strong> books, blanks, records, vouchers,<br />

receipts, etc., for use <strong>of</strong> all the public <strong>of</strong>fices or <strong>of</strong>ficers herein mentioned,<br />

which system shall be adopted and used by <strong>of</strong>ficers and <strong>of</strong>fices<br />

mentioned in this chapter.<br />

SEC. 683-all. <strong>State</strong> auditor to furnish forms.<br />

1 The auditor <strong>of</strong> state shall, as soon as practicable after the same<br />

2 have been prepared, furnish each <strong>of</strong>fice or <strong>of</strong>ficer affected by this chap-<br />

3 ter with a complete set <strong>of</strong> all forms prescribed under the provisions<br />

4 <strong>of</strong> the preceding section, and the expense there<strong>of</strong> shall be paid in the<br />

5 same manner as other like expenses <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the auditor <strong>of</strong> state.<br />

SEC. 683-alS. Failure to file inventory—penalty.<br />

1 Any <strong>of</strong>ficer or <strong>of</strong>ficers having the care, custody, control or manage-<br />

2 ment <strong>of</strong> public property herein mentioned who neglect or fail to file<br />

3 said inventory, or supplemental inventory as herein required, shall be<br />

4 subject to removal, dismissal or discharge by the proper authority.<br />
