CHAPTER 25-A.<br />

DUTIES RELATIVE TO BONDS OF PUBLIC CORPORATIONS.<br />

SECTION 683-al. Notice <strong>of</strong> sale <strong>of</strong> public bonds.<br />

1 When any state, county, township, municipal, drainage, school,<br />

2 road, park, or other public bonds are issued and <strong>of</strong>fered for sale in the<br />

3 sum <strong>of</strong> twenty-five thousand dollars or more, the <strong>of</strong>ficial or <strong>of</strong>ficials in<br />

4 charge <strong>of</strong> such bond issue shall by advertisement, published for two or<br />

5 more successive weeks in at least one <strong>of</strong>ficial newspaper <strong>of</strong> the county,<br />

6 and in at last one newspaper <strong>of</strong> general circulation in the state, give<br />

7 notice <strong>of</strong> the time and place <strong>of</strong> sale <strong>of</strong> said bonds, the amount there<strong>of</strong><br />

8 to be <strong>of</strong>fered for sale, and any further information which may be<br />

9 deemed pertinent.<br />

SEC. 683-a2. Opening and announcing sealed bids—call for open<br />

bids—record required.<br />

1 Sealed bids may be received at any time prior to calling for open<br />

2 bids. At said time and place, the said <strong>of</strong>ficial or <strong>of</strong>ficials shall open and<br />

3 publicly announce all sealed bids received and make a record <strong>of</strong> same<br />

4 in their minutes. After the sealed bids are announced, the <strong>of</strong>ficial or<br />

5 <strong>of</strong>ficials shall call for open bids and shall make record in the minutes <strong>of</strong><br />

6 the best open bid received.<br />

SEC. 683-aS. Rejection <strong>of</strong> bids—limitation on sale.<br />

1 Any or all bids may be rejected, and the sale may be advertised<br />

2 anew, in the same manner, or the bonds may thereafter be sold at pri-<br />

3 vate sale, provided that no bonds shall be disposed <strong>of</strong> for less than par<br />

4 value and accrued interest.<br />

CHAPTER 25-B.<br />

DUTIES RELATIVE TO INVENTORIES OF PUBLIC PROPERTY.<br />

SECTION 683-a4. Inventories required <strong>of</strong> real and personal property.<br />

1 All public <strong>of</strong>ficers be, and the same hereby are, required to take an<br />

2 inventory <strong>of</strong> the real and personal property under their care, custody,<br />

3 control or management, and to keep the same on file in their respective<br />

4 <strong>of</strong>fices, and in the <strong>of</strong>fices <strong>of</strong> the auditor <strong>of</strong> state and county auditor,<br />

5 board <strong>of</strong> control and board <strong>of</strong> education, and providing for the dis-<br />

6 missal from <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> public <strong>of</strong>ficers who fail to file such inventories.<br />

SEC. 683-a5. Officers required to file inventories—stationery—<br />

subsequent inventories.<br />

1 ^ It shall be the duty <strong>of</strong> every <strong>of</strong>ficer, board, commission, department<br />

2 and institution <strong>of</strong> the state government, and <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> counties,
