SEC. 8772. Making tools for counterfeiting—punishment.<br />

1 If any person engrave, make or mend, or begin to engrave, make<br />

2 or mend, any plate, block, press or other tool, instrument or implement,<br />

3 or make or provide any paper or other materials, adapted and de-<br />

4 signed for the forging or making any false and counterfeit note, certi-<br />

5 ficate, state bond, warrant or other instrument <strong>of</strong> public security for<br />

6 money or other property <strong>of</strong> this state or any other <strong>of</strong> the United <strong>State</strong>s,<br />

7 or any bank bill, promissory note, draft or other evidence <strong>of</strong> debt<br />

8 issued or purporting to be issued by any corporation or company ; and<br />

9 every person who has in his possession any such plate or block en-<br />

10 graved in any part, or any press or other tool, instrument or imple-<br />

11 ment, paper or other material, adapted and designed as aforesaid, with<br />

12 intent to use the same, or to cause or permit the same to be used, in<br />

13 forging or making any such false and forged certificates, notes, bonds,<br />

14 warrants, public securities or evidences <strong>of</strong> debt, shall be imprisoned in<br />

15 the penitentiary not more than five years.<br />

SEC. 8773. Counterfeiting coin—punishment.<br />

1 If any person forge or counterfeit any gold or silver coin, current<br />

2 by law or usage within this state, or if any person have in his posses-<br />

3 sion at the same time five or more pieces <strong>of</strong> false money or coin coun-<br />

4 terfeited in the similitude <strong>of</strong> any gold or silver coin current as afore-<br />

5 said, knowing the same to be false and counterfeit, and with intent to<br />

6 utter or pass the same as true, he shall be imprisoned in the peniten-<br />

7 tiary not more than ten years.<br />

SECTION 8794. Keeping house <strong>of</strong> ill fame—punishment.<br />

1 If any person keeps a house <strong>of</strong> ill fame, resorted to for the pur-<br />

2 pose <strong>of</strong> prostitution or lewdness, such person shall be imprisoned in<br />

3 the penitentiary not more than five years.<br />

SEC. 8799. Detention <strong>of</strong> females for purposes <strong>of</strong> prostitution.<br />

1 Whoever shall unlawfully detain or confine any female, by force,<br />

2 false pretense, or intimidation, in any room, house, building, or prem-<br />

3 ises in this state, against the will <strong>of</strong> such female, for purposes <strong>of</strong> uros-
