SEC. 8700. Violations—punishment.<br />

SEC. 8701. Adoption and registration <strong>of</strong> labor union label.<br />

[This and the two following sections repealed by 39 G. A., ch.<br />

29, § 1 and a substitute enacted therefor which for the purposes <strong>of</strong><br />

proper classification appears in this supplement as chapter 10-A <strong>of</strong><br />

title XXI on "Trade and Commerce".]<br />

NOTE: The substitute referred to above which was enacted by the 39th G. A.<br />

leaves the law formerly covered by sections 8701 to 8703, inclusive, <strong>of</strong> the compiled<br />

code, largely regulatory; the criminal feature is now only.incidental. For<br />

that reason said substitute has been placed in title XXI as indicated above, and<br />

appears as sections 6198-al to 6198-a6, inclusive, <strong>of</strong> this supplement.<br />

SEC. 8702. Injunction against use <strong>of</strong> registered label.<br />

SEC. 8703. Imitation <strong>of</strong> registered label—punishment.<br />

SEC. 8709. Swindling by three-card monte—punishment.<br />

1 Whoever by means <strong>of</strong> three-card monte, so called, or any other<br />

2 form or device, sleight <strong>of</strong> hand, or other means whatever, by use <strong>of</strong><br />

3 cards or instruments <strong>of</strong> like character, obtains from another person<br />

4 any money or other property, shall be guilty <strong>of</strong> swindling, and be<br />

5 fined not less than two hundred nor more than two thousand dollars,<br />

6 or be imprisoned in the penitentiary not more than five years, or both.<br />

CHAPTER 30.<br />

FORGERY AND COUNTERFEITING.<br />

SECTION 8762. Forgery or counterfeiting <strong>of</strong> public instruments.<br />

1 If any person, with intent to defraud, falsely make, utter, forge<br />

2 or counterfeit any note, certificate, state bond, warrant or other instru-<br />

3 ment, being public security for money or other property, issued or<br />

4 purporting to be issued by authority <strong>of</strong> this state or any other <strong>of</strong> the<br />

5 United <strong>State</strong>s; or any indorsement or other writing purporting to<br />

6 transfer the right or interest <strong>of</strong> any holder <strong>of</strong> such public security,<br />

7 he shall be'imprisoned in the penitentiary not more than twenty years.<br />

SEC. 8766. Second conviction—punishment.<br />
