3 menced, where the trial there<strong>of</strong> takes place at a regular term and<br />

4 occupies more than one calendar day, the judge trying it shall certify<br />

5 the number <strong>of</strong> days so occupied, and the county in which the action<br />

6 was originally commenced shall be liable to the county where the same<br />

7 is tried for the sum <strong>of</strong> three dollars per day, for each juryman en-<br />

8 gaged in the trial there<strong>of</strong>.<br />

CHAPTER 13.<br />

COSTS.<br />

SECTION 7638. Jury fees taxed as costs.<br />

1 There shall be taxed, in every action tried in a court <strong>of</strong> record by<br />

2 a jury, a jury fee <strong>of</strong> ten dollars, which, when collected, shall be paid<br />

3 by the clerk into 'the county treasury ; all such fees, not previously<br />

4 reported, to be by him reported to the board <strong>of</strong> supervisors at each<br />

5 regular session, and by it charged to the treasurer.<br />

CHAPTER 15.<br />

EXEMPTIONS.<br />

SECTION 7730. Personal earnings.<br />

1 The earnings <strong>of</strong> a debtor who is a resident <strong>of</strong> the state and the<br />

2 head <strong>of</strong> a family for his personal services, or those <strong>of</strong> his family, at<br />

3 any time within ninety days next preceding the levy, are exempt from<br />

4 liability for debt; provided that where the party in whose favor the<br />

5 order, decree or judgment was rendered has not remarried, the per-<br />

6 sonal earnings <strong>of</strong> the debtor shall not be exempt from any order, judg-<br />

7 ment or decree for temporary or permanent alimony hereafter ren-<br />

8 dered in this state, nor from any installment <strong>of</strong> any such order, judg-<br />

9 ment or decree heret<strong>of</strong>ore rendered within this state which, by the<br />

10 provisions there<strong>of</strong>, may hereafter become due, nor shall the personal<br />

11 earnings <strong>of</strong> the debtor be exempt from any order, judgment or decree<br />

12 for the support <strong>of</strong> his minor child or children hereafter rendered in<br />

13 this state nor any installment <strong>of</strong> any such order, judgment or decree<br />

14 heret<strong>of</strong>ore rendered in this state which, by the provisions there<strong>of</strong>,<br />

15 may hereafter become due.<br />
