CHAPTER 9.<br />

THE RIGHTS OP ALIENS.<br />

SECTION 6457. Bona fide contract.<br />

1 A bona fide contract for the sale <strong>of</strong> any such lands owned by any<br />

2 such corporation shall be held and considered as a sale within the pro-<br />

3 visions <strong>of</strong> section sixty-four hundred fifty-six <strong>of</strong> the compiled code, and<br />

4 a good and valid deed <strong>of</strong> conveyance may be made by such corporation<br />

5 at any time upon the fulfillment <strong>of</strong> such contract by the purchaser <strong>of</strong><br />

6 any such lands.<br />

CHAPTER 10.<br />

• ISLANDS AND ABANDONED RIVER CHANNELS.<br />

SECTION 6480. Sale or lease authorized.<br />

1 The executive council <strong>of</strong> the state is hereby authorized and em-<br />

2 powered to sell, convey, lease or demise any <strong>of</strong> the islands belonging<br />

3 to the state which are within the meandered banks <strong>of</strong> rivers in the<br />

4 state, and to execute and deliver a patent or lease there<strong>of</strong>. Nothing<br />

5 in this section and sections sixty-four hundred eighty-one, sixty-four<br />

6 hundred eighty-two, sixty-four hundred eighty-three and sixty-four<br />

7 hundred eighty-four <strong>of</strong> the compiled code shall be construed to apply<br />

8 to islands in the Mississippi or Missouri rivers.<br />

CHAPTER 12.<br />

TRUSTEES TO MANAGE CEMETERY FUNDS.<br />

SECTION 6492. Trustee—appointment—trust funds.<br />

Any owner or owners <strong>of</strong> any cemetery, or any party or parties<br />

interested therein, may by petition presented to the district court <strong>of</strong><br />

the county where the cemetery is situated, have appointed a trustee<br />

with authority to receive any and all moneys that may be donated for<br />

and on account <strong>of</strong> said cemetery or any part there<strong>of</strong> and to invest,<br />
